Garden Design Consultations

Designing your garden will begin with personalised consultations and an in-depth discussion about your vision, lifestyle, and specific requirements, ensuring that your garden is a true extension of you. I will provide expert guidance on plant selection, design principles, and sustainable practices, ensuring that your garden is not only beautiful but also environmentally friendly.
Container Design and Rejuvenation
Containers are flexible, portable, and versatile, offering an easy way to create seasonal displays, unique growing environments, and focal points without the cost or labour of full borders. I can help you choose and construct containers, select the right plants and growing mediums, complete the planting, and provide ongoing support, seasonal updates and care guidance to keep your container garden healthy and vibrant year-round.
Bespoke Layout and Planting Plans
I take a comprehensive approach to garden design, considering factors such as sunlight, soil quality, and local climate. I offer detailed planning services which include surveys, layout designs, planting plans, plant recommendations, and a timeline for implementation, making the process gradual, seamless and enjoyable. Layout and planting plans are produced in 2D, hand-drawn or computer-generated, with annotations and specifications.
Ongoing Support & Updates
A thriving garden requires attention beyond the design stage. I can provide ongoing support through seasonal updates, advice on pruning, feeding and planting changes, ensuring that gardens, landscaping features, borders, and containers look their best throughout every season.

Projects vary enormously in size and complexity and with that, their costs.
Design services
A general guideline to the cost for design only per square metre is between £40 and £150. Fixed prices for design projects start at around £600. Generally, I offer either a fixed price for a design project based on the specific site and requirements or a percentage of the overall cost of the hard landscaping (the structures and surfaces) and the soft landscaping (soil preparation, materials, plants and planting).
Building the garden to the proposed design: labour and materials
The cost of building the garden by a professional landscaper could range from £100 to £125 per square metre for a lower range design and mostly soft landscaping, and between £250 to £350+ per square metre for medium to large gardens and complex design, expanses of hard landscaping, high-end structures and features, rare or mature plants or challenging terrain.
